How can I book an event?


You can click on the CONTACT tab at the top of the website page or you can shoot us an email at info@thesocialoccasion.com. Please gives us at least 48 hours to respond. Thank you!




What area do you service?


The Social Occasion services the Hampton Roads area and surrounding areas in Virginia. We can also travel but a travel fee may apply. Please reach out to us!




How far in advance should I book my event?


We suggest at least 3 weeks out from the potential date if possible. The sooner, the better! Depending on availability, we may be able to accomdate last minute bookings. Please use our CONTACT FORM and send an inquiry about a date if its less than 1 (one) week from potential date.




What are you doing for Covid-19 Precautions?


We are here to maintain the safety of ourselves and others. For setup and takedown of events or picnics we will be wearing masks and gloves. We also offer for each picnic hand sanitizer and wipes on the table for you and your guests. The table and table settings will be sanizited and cleaned for every setup.




Where are the preferred event locations?


We are based out of Hampton, VA. We will travel within a 20 mile radius of Hampton. Any location outside of that radius will be subject to a travel fee. If you have a preferred location, please contact us. Here are some suggestions below: Parks- Newport News Park, Lions Bridge Park, Mount Trashmore (subject to a travel fee) Beaches - Fort Monroe, Buckroe Beach, Yorktown Beach At your home/residential - indoor or outdoor (backyard)




Can I bring my own food?


Yes you can! We also have partnered with different vendors that offer a variety of foods and desserts. You can add-on those services after you book your potential date.




Do you provide alcohol?


We do not offer alcohol during events that are held at the beach or parks. Most beaches and parks prohibit the use of alcohol on public property. We can offer alcohol at private residences.
